Partner Martin Cooney awarded a Fellowship of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Ireland

Byrne Wallace Shields LLP is delighted to announce that Partner and Head of Infrastructure, Construction and Energy Group, Martin Cooney was awarded the prestigious award of Fellowship of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Ireland (CILT) at the 73rd Annual Dinner hosted on Thursday, 16 October 2025 at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire. 

This award recognises Martin’s industry expertise in the area of transport and logistics, both in his professional legal practice as a Senior Partner and Head of the Infrastructure, Construction and Energy Group at Byrne Wallace Shields and in his 28 years’ service with the Reserve Defence Forces, where he holds the rank of Captain and serves as Staff Officer in the Transport School, Defence Forces Training Centre. Martin is on the Board of Directors of CILT as Vice President.
