Byrne Wallace Shields LLP shortlisted as Irish Pensions Law Firm of the Year 2025

Friday, 12 September 2025

Byrne Wallace Shields LLP is delighted to announce that the firm has been shortlisted in this year’s Irish Pensions Awards in the category of Irish Pensions Law Firm of the Year 2025.

Now in its 14th year, the Irish Pensions Awards recognise pension funds, pension providers, advisers, law firms and pension professionals who strive to maintain the highest standards of excellence and professionalism.

Led by partner Liam Connellan, the Byrne Wallace Shields LLP Pensions Law practice has been consistently ranked Tier 1 by international legal directory Legal 500, and is widely regarded as one of the leading Irish law firms advising on pensions law.

The firm’s pensions practice was further strengthened this year following the merger of ByrneWallace and LK Shields, with the addition of a new consultant, Gillian Dully, who has over 20 years’ experience advising on pensions law.

In recognition of the team’s excellence, Byrne Wallace Shields was awarded Irish Pensions Law Firm of the Year at the Irish Pensions Awards in 2023.

Commenting on the awards announcement, Liam Connellan said, “We are delighted to once again be recognised by the Irish Pensions Awards as one of Ireland’s leading pensions law firms.

“As we face an exciting and challenging time for pensions in Ireland, we strongly believe that our Pensions Law team is extremely well positioned to advise both employers, trustees and stakeholders on all aspects of corporate pensions.”

The winners of the Irish Pensions Awards will be announced at an Awards Gala Dinner on Tuesday, 4 November at the Mansion House, Dublin.
